If you live in the Greater Cincinnati metro than I am sure you have at least heard of Awaited. Awaited is a one-of-a-kind Christmas production put on by Crossroads Church drawing crowds of over 110,000 people. Oh and did I mention that it’s FREE. 100% FREE! And it’s not only a show, there are treats, goodies, hot chocolate, and family photo ops, before the show even starts…and yes all that is FREE too!
It really a must see Christmas show experience, especially this Christmas season, because it will be they’re last. I know so so so so sad..but if I know Crossroads, I am sure they have something else just as spectacular up their sleeves.
Awaited is a story full of risk, rejection and unexpected rescue by a long-awaited King. It is the story of how God relentlessly pursues each of us with his love and freedom, no matter who we are, what we’ve lived through or where we’ve come from. It is a story that has the power to change us all.
This will be my 4th time seeing Awaited, and every time, EVERY.TIME. the garden scene makes me cry! haha It’s just so beautiful! Not only visually, with the dancers and set and costumes, it also really gives off a powerful emotion that helps me SEE God’s love for us. Really see it.
But how can I pick just one favorite, I also LOVE the wise-men scene, where they fly around and the song is so up beat. And of course…who doesn’t love the camel! I know my kids do!!
If for some crazy reason, you can’t make it to a showing this year, you can stream a fully recorded version of Awaited to experience at home with your family and friends! You can also check out Cincinnati’s local news stations, WCPO and WLWT, at the times listed below and watch Awaited it that way!
