My parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this year (2015) and to celebrate our whole family packed up made our way to Florida! It was awesome!! The sand was white, the water was blue and the spirits were high!
What a beautiful little beach town! If you have never been, I highly recommend putting it on your bucket list. We saw dolphins, sea stars, sting rays, found cool shells and of course…ate great food!
We wanted to make sure to spend one evening out at a nice place to celebrate the big anniversary, based on a friend’s recommendation, we went to The Beach House.
The Beach House Restaurant is located on the South end of Anna Maria Island, just west of the quaint Cortez fishing village in Bradenton Beach. Perfect for families, the Beach House has plenty of room for kids to play on our newly renourished beach while you enjoy the sunset, a tropical drink and fresh Florida seafood.
So open and airy! Talk about dinner with a view! There was live music, a stunning sunset, and delicious food!
We started the evening with a round of drinks..of course! Dirty martinis and daiquiris..yes please!
For our appetizers we had the Land Lover Bruschetta, Hush Puppies, Wild Hog, Calamari, and clams!
We passed everything around and tasted and shared and tasted some more. Then, our dinner came…and we tasted and shared some more!! I’ll start with my personal favorite, The Seafood Trio! Oh my goodness!! Please order the Trio! The shrimp was so so good and the grouper, just amazing!
We also passed around the Mullet Fingers, Wild Boar, Crab Cakes, Tile Fish (a bit spicy), Seafood Capellini, and the Veggie Risotto.
I am so thankful to have parents that demonstrate love, support and friendship, and to be celebrating 40 years…what a blessing! We had a great trip and made wonderful memories! If you find yourself in Anna Maria Island…be sure to check out The Beach House!
