DIY Palette Strawberry Patch

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Miracle-Gro for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I just love all the cute palette ideas I have seen on good ‘ole pinterest! I have been wanting to do one but wasn’t sure which one to try, so I got the Mr. Involved and voila…a DIY palette strawberry patch on my deck! Which just happens to combine two things that I really like but am not so good at; gardening and crafty projects.  Bonus! I showed my Mr. Some pics of ideas that I liked and he took it from there.

Here is what he used:

Two Palattes

Land scaping Fabric

12 Strawberry Plants

Potting soil

Staple Gun

Circular Saw

Here is what he did:

Cut (using the saw) the two palettes to the size he wanted.  Used the staple gun to attach the fabric to the bottom of the palettes. Added the strawberry plants and potting soil. Nailed it to our deck.

Easy peasy. Well, at least it was for me because my Mr. Is a manly man and can nail and cut and use his hands!

Now, even though I dream about having a green thumb, I just can’t get my act together. Thankfully my Mr. loves taking care of the yard and my little garden ideas. Serisouly, he waters them like crazy and, at least for the inside plants (not the ones we eat from) he uses Miracle-Gro® Moisture Control® Potting Mix!  You can find other products here…Miracle-Gro!
