Cady Heron may have grown up on an African savanna, but nothing prepared her for the wild and vicious ways of her strange new home: suburban Illinois. How will this naïve newbie rise to the top of the popularity pecking order? By taking on The Plastics, a trio of lionized frenemies led by the charming but ruthless Regina George. But, when Cady devises a plan to end Regina’s reign, she learns the hard way that you can’t cross a Queen Bee without getting stung.

You know what is so Fetch?!?! When you have an awesome friend like Heather who gives you tickets to see mean girls because she was recovering from knee surgery! Thanks Heather!! I am really sorry you had to miss it but thanks for sending me!! It was like back to high school in Cincinnati at The Aronoff. I was excited to see the musical adaptation of Mean Girls on opening night! Mean Girls is known first as a movie written By Tina Fey which released in 2004. The movie was a hit and had a cult like following. Mean Girls made its Broadway debut March 2018. I was curious as to how it would be adapted from film to stage. IT WAS GREAT! I was even second guessing my memory of the movie because all of the songs fit and were awesome!

2004-2019 is 15 years and a lot has changed in the high school culture -cell phones and social media- and they have adapted the show to match. Mean Girls poked fun at how fast a social media post can go viral but called out bullying.

The music and talent of the actors was amazing. I have to say that Cady, Damian and Janice were definitely my favorite characters but Janice! WOW the girl has a powerhouse of a voice. She gave me goosebumps!

When I was in high school drama set design was my favorite roll, so I am always excited to how the set with fit the scene of any Aronoff show and Mean Girls did not disappoint! Mean Girls set was a wall of digital screens that were so realistic looking the visual flow kept the show moving along seamlessly. I loved it!

Mean Girls was a blast to see! My friend Julie and I laughed A LOT!! It is a great girls night out!

Does Cady fit with The Plastics? Is she a Mathlete? Or a desperate wannabe?! You have to go and find out!!
