Mini Pizza Breads

If you follow any of my monthly meal plans, you know we love our pizza bread!

Again..I am not really sure why my in-laws call this delicious dinner “Pizza Bread”, but at this point it’s tradition so Pizza Bread it is! You can really do just about anything with this recipe. I make Mexican Pizza Bread and Italian Pizza Bread the most. Basically, taco meat wrapped in bread or pasta sauce with ground meat wrapped in bread. But you could add pepperoni, veggies, chicken, or anything else you would like to see wrapped in bread and baked! 🙂

This time I decided to make mini pizza breads instead of one big one. I was bringing a meal to someone who just had surgery and since she lives alone, I figured 4 mini pizza breads would be more convenient. She could freeze the others and re-heat when she wanted.

So mini pizza breads it was!

I did about the same thing I do when I make regular sized pizza bread, except I cut the dough in 4 pieces.

What you need
One loaf of frozen bread (thawed)
1 lb ground meat
taco seasoning
shredded cheese

What you do
Pre-heat the oven to 350. Cook the meat. Drain the grease then add the taco seasoning. Let simmer. Roll out the loaf of thawed bread and cut into four pieces. Pick one piece up and roll it a little more. Cut the sides. Fill the middle with meat mixture and sprinkle some cheese. Braid the bread together, weaving the flaps you made when you cut it. Repeat with 3 other pieces of bread. Bake for 30 min.

See how I cut the sides to make the flaps!

I wanted to show you how I braid the dough together and since I needed an extra set of hands, my 6 year old is filming for me 🙂 He’s so sweet!

And voila, it’s finished!

Enjoy your mini pizza breads! Maybe for Christmas I will get one of these and then I won’t have to count on the cinematography of my precious 6 year old!
