The School of Rock is in session in Cincinnati. And it is amazing! This spectacular musical will be at the Aronoff Center until March 4th and you need to get there. It’s one of the best shows I’ve seen.
The 2003 movie that it’s based on is really great. And if you’ve never seen it, you should. It’s on Netflix and it’s super funny and kid friendly. But, the Broadway show is even better. There is just something awe-inspiring about seeing these incredibly skilled and talented kids performing live right in front of you. It was magnificent.
The kids rightly stole the show. The each played all of their own music and absolutely rocked it. They were so gifted. The show was unlike any other Broadway show that I’ve seen. The audience participated like an audience at a rock show. It was so much fun.
“Based on the hit film, this hilarious new musical follows Dewey Finn, a wannabe rock star posing as a substitute teacher who turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band.”
“This high-octane smash features 14 new songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber, all the original songs from the movie and musical theater’s first-ever kids rock band playing their instruments live on stage.”
