Tropical Protein Smoothie

Does anyone else find it so hard to stay full until lunch? I mean really?! I do love to eat, but getting hungry 2 hours after breakfast…well…”Ain’t nobody got time for that!” I usually make whole wheat waffles or pancakes for breakfast, and I feel good about them because I know what’s in them. Whole grains, flax-seed, no sugar, and a dab of maple syrup. But an hour and a half later…watch out…I’m getting hangry! So I have been trying to add more protein to my breakfasts, which usually ends up just being eggs. I love eggs, but after a while I need a change.

So I started to search for the perfect protein drink. I didn’t want anything too “chalky”, or anything with too much sugar. But it still had to taste great, have quality ingredients and most importantly…keep me full!

Tropical Protein smoothie...a great way to start the day!

Thankfully, when I was at Wal-Mart, I came across a familiar brand. EAS. I remember drinking their carb control ready-to-drink in college. But this time I picked up the EAS Complete Protein which is a great source of protein and good for you nutrients! It’s also supplemented with calcium, fiber, vitamins, and minerals and benefits the digestive system too!

I have to say…I love this stuff! I add it to 8oz of cold milk or even just water, in the morning or for a snack! SO far I am stuck on the vanilla, but I can’t wait to try the chocolate…because…well…CHOCOLATE!!

Pineapple, banana, orange juice, spinach and EAS complete Protein!

Here’s what you need
2 cups of cubed pineapples
2 bananas
2 cups of spinach
2 cups of orange juice
2 scoops of EAS Complete Protein – vanilla
Ice – Optional

What you do
Add all the ingredients into a blender. Blend. Enjoy! Keep in mind that the protein powder is designed for adults and shouldn’t be given to adolescence. So…I blend all the ingredients (EXPECT THE POWDER) and pour some glasses for the kiddos…then…I add the powder, blend and enjoy my tropical protein smoothie!
